Invitation

Dear Colleagues,

The Organizing Committee is pleased to invite you to the 17th InterRad meeting, held every three years, and convened by the International Association of Radiolarists (InterRad). InterRad promotes research on radiolarians of all aspects, including taxonomy, biostratigraphy, evolution, biology, ecology, palaeobiology, palaeoecology, palaeobiogeography and palaeoceanography.

The 17th InterRad meeting will be held in the "Auditorium Santa Apollonia" in the center of Florence (Italy), and will include three full days of scientific sessions. The pre-meeting excursion will be focused on various aspects of the Jurassic and Cretaceous succession of the Umbria-Marche Basin (Northern Apennines - Umbria region, Central Italy). The post-meeting excursion will be dedicated to illustrate the stratigraphy and the evolution of the Lagonegro Basin (Southern Apennines - Basilicata region, Southern Italy), while the mid-meeting excursion will elucidate the "Geology of Florence’s historical heritage".

We are looking forward to seeing you in Florence

Marco Chiari
President of the InterRad
